Triage Procedure

    • Treatment Area

      Identify or clear a safe location where mobile patients can regroup and wait for treatment.

    • If you don’t know the patient’s name, simply enter any kind of identifier. ex. Patient # 1
  • Black

    Patient is unsalvageable.
    Submit and move to next patient.

  • Red

    Patient requires immediate care!
    Place patient in recovery position and control deadly bleeds with direct pressure if required.
    Submit and move to next patient.

  • Red

    Patient requires immediate care!
    Place patient in recovery position and control deadly bleeds with direct pressure if required.
    Submit and move to next patient.

  • Red

    Patient requires immediate care!
    Place patient in recovery position and control deadly bleeds with direct pressure if required.
    Submit and move to next patient.

  • Red

    Patient requires immediate care!
    Place patient in recovery position and control deadly bleeds with direct pressure if required.
    Submit and move to next patient.

  • Yellow

    Treatment can be delayed. Injuries are not immediately life-threatening.
    Submit and move to next patient

  • Green

    Ask all mobile patients to move to the predetermined area and wait for treatment.

    Children should be assisted.

    Submit and move to next patient

      The above triage procedure is done as a guide according to the START method. The final classification of the patient is entirely the responsibility or the rescuer.
