    • Check the pulse for a maximum of 10 seconds. Note rate above and quality according to the checkboxes to the right.

    • O2 Saturation 95 to 100%
      Within normal range
      No Treatment

    • O2 Saturation 91 to 94%
      Mild hypoxia
      Administer emergency oxygen using a nasal cannula or standard oxygen mask.

    • O2 Saturation 86 to 90%
      Moderate hypoxia
      Administer emergency oxygen using a non-rebreather mask or bag-valve mask with oxygen reservoir.

    • O2 Saturation 85% or lower
      Severe hypoxia
      Administer emergency oxygen using a non-rebreather mask or bag-valve mask with oxygen reservoir.

  • Indicate your findings above

  • Reassess

    Stable patients should be reassessed every 10minutes.
    Unstable patients should be reassessed every 5 minutes.
